A pair of handmade, oak salt and pepper pinch pots. One charred black, and one lightly toasted, making a beautiful, eye-catching pair.
Can be used in your kitchen while cooking and are also a great addition to any dining table. They are a great gift for foodies!
Each pinch pot is unique, the variations in the wood are accentuated by charring. This technique, known as Yakisugi, originated in Japan as a way of colouring, preserving and sealing hard wood using only fire. After burning, each piece of wood is lovingly combed, brushed, sanded and rubbed down with a natural oil.
Using oak that has been salvaged, fire to colour and preserve, and natural oils to finish these pinch pots, means that they are 100% natural, and also environmentally friendly.
